Before I got to spend a couple weeks camping up on Mt. Shasta (which is always marvelous and refreshing), Tim O’Connor (Ambrose in “Dreams Awake”) and his sweet wife Sheila came up to Shasta for a short visit. He wanted to get out of town a bit before he started the new play he’s directing. Both he and his wife do projects for the local theater where they live in Nevada City, just northwest of Sacramento.
Wow, I hope I can still go at his pace when I’m 84. And plus, he and Sheila are such a delight to hang out with. And of course, he always has lots of stories about working in the Biz. This time around he mentioned working with James Arness in Gunsmoke, who had just passed away recently. And also, working with Kurt Russell and Laurence Olivier, and a couple others. Always something fascinating. I guess when he was still working in New York he was called the most employed actor in town. I think he ought to write a book about it all, but I imagine that would be a huge project, given his long history from the 1950’s until now.
Anyway, he also signed a few movie posters for us, as we’re currently doing a promotion on Facebook. In case you don’t know anything about it, you can check that out here – https://www.facebook.com/DreamsAwakeMovie?sk=app_14167664298.
Since we’ve gotten so many great responses from the film I thought I’d post a few here. And if you’d like to try your hand at writing a movie review of the film, email us let us know. OK?
“This is one of the best spiritual and personal growth films I have ever seen. Excellent acting and story line. A teaching film!” – KL
“This DVD is almost difficult to describe…Monumental in its wholeness…Fantastic! Moving. I fell in love with this theme instantly. Often I felt myself a part of this unfolding…Adore the choice of characters! Superbly done” — CM
“I was very blessed that this movie was suggested to me … I personally connected with it on an emotional, spiritual & psychological level. I have watched it several times and connect with something new in it each time. I have discovered many synchronicities between my life & the movie since I have been watching it. My dreams are becoming more alive, or my awareness of them & the messages being sent. Thank you, the actors, and all involved in making this beautiful movie! My love & light to you! Namaste” – HKB
“This film takes a shattered family and brings the pieces back together again through a metaphysical setting and experience that is an edge-of-the-seat game against time in a true test of love and trust… I recommend highly for all seekers of light!” — VG
“Love this movie, I have watched it four times and each time I get something new out of it. Yes, I enjoy it for its little messages within the storyline, along with the actors presentations, too.” — MRE
And finally, I recently had my head buried in a polish of the “One Hand Clapping” screenplay, which is our next project. We want to get it out to a few actors, so I figured I had better clean it up once again to see where we stand. And by the way, if you haven’t checked out our new website for that project, go here – http://www.onehandclappingmovie.com – Enjoy!
